About the event

Be Inspired! 25 years of Friendship and Peace

Celebrating Buddy Up! and the Good Friday/Belfast Agreement

25 years ago, Buddy Up! was begun by two courageous North Belfast Nursery schools inspired by the signing of the Good Friday/Belfast Agreement and the prospect of peace for the next generation of children.

25 years later, Buddy Up! continues to inspire. CRIS is excited to be launching its Buddy Up! Digital Media Resource. This is a guide to support all schools in Northern Ireland to practically implement Buddy Up as an inter school buddy system in their own partnership working.

In recognition of this important occasion Community Relations in Schools (CRIS) is planning a big celebration event to mark 25 years of Buddy Up! and to launch the Buddy Up! Digital Resource. We would love it if you could join us!

Thursday 30th March at 3.00 pm - 5.30pm

Movie House Cinema at Cityside (Yorkgate)

CRIS are hosting this fun and uplifting event to honour those from across our school community in North Belfast, whose passion and dedication have made Buddy Up! a success over 25 years and inspire new schools to implement Buddy Up!

The fantastic Nuala McKeever will be our host for the afternoon as we showcase the impact of Buddy Up among children, families, teachers, and schools over 25 years and celebrate that seeds of peace planted through children in North Belfast are now flourishing in schools throughout the region!

More exciting details to follow but in the meantime put the Thursday 30th March at 3.00pm - 5.30pm in your diary and join us for a celebration.
