Building Bridges: Social and Racial Cohesion in our Schools

This session will explore the growing diversity of the modern classroom, and help you to strengthen your school’s inclusive culture, seek better ways to support students from minority ethnic backgrounds, and reflect on your own professional experience of diversity and inclusion.

The workshop will include:

  • Expert Inputs: Karen Turner (Intercultural Education Service) and Areeg Fareh (Anaka Women’s Collective) will provide professional guidance and community perspectives on intercultural education and social cohesion.

  • Collaborative Discussion: A chance to share successful strategies with peers and address the specific pressures facing schools today.

  • Practical Takeaways: Gain a deeper understanding of how to bridge the gap between the school gates and the wider community, ensuring every student feels a genuine sense of belonging.
